For Sellers

Amazon product reviews in India? Build proof that travels.

Real buyers who pay full price for your product, then post about it on their own Instagram or YouTube. You approve every post before a rupee moves, and your listing’s review section is never touched.

How do Indian Amazon sellers get social proof that lasts?

By putting the product in the hands of creators who actually buy it. On Hypedrive a creator orders from your storefront with their own money, posts disclosed content about it on their own Instagram or YouTube, and is reimbursed plus a bonus only after you approve that post. You get a real order, real reach and content you own — on the creator’s channel, not in your listing’s review section.

What you get

Four things a campaign leaves you holding

Reviews sit on one listing and stay there. This is the version that moves units, reaches new buyers, and gives you assets you can still use next quarter.

Real orders in your sales data

Every campaign purchase is an ordinary order on your storefront, paid for by the creator at your listed price. It moves units, and it shows up where you already track everything else.

Content in front of a real audience

A post on a creator’s own Instagram or YouTube reaches people who chose to follow them. That is reach you cannot buy inside a marketplace, on the surface where product discovery actually starts.

Assets you can keep using

You approved the content, so you know exactly what it says. Sellers re-cut campaign posts for ads, product pages and retail decks long after the campaign closes.

A seller account you never gambled

The whole mechanic happens off the marketplace, on the creator’s channel. Your listings and your review section are never touched, so there is nothing to unwind later.

How it works

Four steps, and you control the gate

You set the brief, the creator buys and posts, you approve. Payout happens on your approval and nowhere else.

Step 1

You brief the campaign

Pick the product, set the cashback, the bonus and what you want the content to show. Money sits in a funded campaign wallet until you approve work, so nothing moves before you say so.

Step 2

A creator buys it at full price

The creator orders from your Amazon storefront with their own money, at your normal price. It is a real order from a real buyer, in your real sales data — nothing gifted, nothing rented.

Step 3

They post it on their own channel

The content goes up on the creator’s own Instagram or YouTube, disclosed as a paid collaboration, in front of an audience that already follows them.

Step 4

You approve, then it pays out

You review the post against your brief. Approve it and the creator gets their money back plus the bonus. Nothing pays out on work you did not approve.

So can you just pay for Amazon product reviews in India?

No — and that is exactly why our campaigns work the way they do. Amazon’s Community Guidelines prohibit reviews compensated in any form, and in India a paid review can also be treated as an unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act 2019. A marketplace review section is the marketplace’s to govern. A creator’s own channel is not, which is where paid promotion has always been allowed — disclosed, and out in the open.

Side by side

A review package next to a Hypedrive campaign

Sellers usually arrive comparing prices per review. This is the comparison that actually matters — what you are buying, and what you are left holding.

Know the pitch

Every “review service” is one of four things

If you are weighing a quote, it helps to know which of these you are being sold. The pitch varies; the mechanic does not, and all four leave a trail the marketplace can reconstruct later.

Refund-for-review groups

A buyer is reimbursed, usually over UPI or PayPal, once a five-star review is live. This is the compensated review Amazon prohibits, and the refund trail is what makes it traceable months later.

Free product in exchange for a review

Outside Vine, giving a unit away on the understanding that a review follows is still an incentive. The incentive is the problem, not whether cash changed hands.

Bought or farmed accounts

Reviews posted from accounts the seller controls, or from a vendor’s pool of accounts. Amazon links accounts by device, address and payment fingerprints, and it does this retrospectively.

Messaging buyers with a nudge

Follow-up messages that ask for a positive review, offer anything in return, or try to route unhappy buyers away from the review box. Buyer-Seller Messaging permits contact; it does not permit the nudge.

On the listing itself

The four things Amazon does let you do

Worth doing, and worth knowing the edges of. Amazon keeps the review section tightly held, so these are the levers you have there — and why most of your growth has to come from somewhere else.

The “Request a Review” button

In Seller Central, on the order detail page. Amazon sends its own templated message asking for a product review and seller feedback. You cannot edit the wording, attach anything, or offer an incentive — which is precisely why it is safe.

Buyer-Seller Messaging, used properly

Permitted for order-related communication. It is not a channel for asking for five stars, offering a refund or gift card for a review, or pre-screening who gets asked.

Amazon Vine

Amazon’s own programme. Amazon selects the reviewer and distributes the unit, the review carries a Vine Voice badge, and the seller has no contact with the reviewer and no say in what is written.

A genuinely good product and delivery

Unglamorous and still the largest lever. Accurate listings, correct sizing information, packaging that survives the journey, and fulfilment that hits the promised date. Most one-star reviews are operational, not editorial.

The Indian layer

Two frameworks that apply on top of Amazon’s rules

Marketplace policy is not the only thing in play. India has a published standard for online reviews and a self-regulatory code for influencer disclosure, and both apply to you as the party paying for promotion.

Say it out loud

What this is not

Being specific about the boundary is the whole point, so here it is without hedging.

Questions sellers ask us first

Paying for reviews breaches Amazon’s Community Guidelines regardless of geography, and in India it can also be treated as an unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act 2019, which the CCPA enforces. The practical consequence is usually a marketplace one rather than a courtroom one. Paying a creator to post disclosed content on their own channel is a different thing entirely, and it is ordinary advertising.

Not outside Amazon Vine. Amazon draws the line at the incentive, not at the honesty of the resulting review — a free unit given on the understanding that a review follows is a compensated review. Vine works because Amazon controls the distribution and the reviewer, and you have no contact with them.

It is a button on the order detail page in Seller Central that makes Amazon send its own templated request for a product review and seller feedback. You cannot change the wording or add anything to it. Because the message is Amazon’s and carries no incentive, it is the safest review request available to a seller.

No. Hypedrive campaigns ask a creator to post content on their own Instagram or YouTube account. We do not sell, broker, script, arrange or incentivise marketplace reviews or ratings, and payout is never conditional on a review existing or being positive.

It is the Indian standard on online consumer reviews, issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards under the Department of Consumer Affairs in November 2022. It sets out how platforms should collect, moderate and publish reviews. Compliance is voluntary, but a false or paid review can still be pursued by the CCPA as an unfair trade practice.

Yes. Content run through Hypedrive is a paid, incentivised brand collaboration, so ASCI’s influencer guidelines require the creator to disclose it clearly on the post itself — the same as any other brand partnership.
